Community InvolvementCornerstone ScholarshipMatthew Oplinger, a sixth grade student at St. Jude's School in Mountain Top, recently was awarded the Cornerstone Scholarship endowed by Kevin Palmiter and a matching grant from Northwestern Mutual. The full-tuition scholarship is awarded to a sixth-grade student who is contiuning his/her education at St. Jude's School through eigth grade. To qualify, the student must show continual commitment to his/her Catholic parish, excel in the classroom and maintain a high academic standing, and display a financial need for tuition assistance. Th scholarship provides complete tuition for sixth, seventh and eigth grades providing the student continues to meet scholarship qualifications. |
